- When approaching Mount Desert Island from Ellsworth/Trenton follow ME-3 E/Bar Harbor Rd

- Once on the Island follow the signs to Southwest Harbor (Keep right) to continue on ME-102 South

- Follow ME-102 S (11.7 mi) through downtown Southwest Harbor. You will pass through the villages of Town Hill and Sommesville (get your camera ready).

- Just past the harbor 102 will bend to the right and begin to go uphill. At the top of the hill turn left onto Hillcrest Circle. Some GPS may have it listed as Hillcrest Acres Lane.

- Turn right at the start of the circle. 34 Hillcrest Circle will be on your right approximately 6 houses in.

- Look for the driveway with the "Black Seal Chalet" sign.
